History of Women Empowerment Yoga Federation

The Women Empowerment Yoga Federation (WEYF) was established with a clear and purposeful vision: to empower women physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually through the timeless science of yoga.
Rooted in the ancient yogic traditions of India and aligned with modern principles of gender equality, the federation was formed to create a structured platform where women from all backgrounds could gain strength, confidence, leadership skills, and self-reliance through yoga education and practice.

From its inception, the federation has focused on inclusive growth, believing that women’s empowerment is not limited to physical wellness alone but extends to mental resilience, emotional balance, self-discipline, and social awareness. Yoga, as promoted by the federation, is a holistic tool for transforming women into confident individuals, capable leaders, and responsible contributors to society.

Under the guidance and leadership of Director Md Khairul Islam & Baby Hena, the Women Empowerment Yoga Federation has steadily expanded its activities across regions, promoting:

  • Women-centric yoga training programs
  • Instructor and leadership development initiatives
  • Awareness campaigns on women’s health and well-being
  • Community outreach programs using yoga as a medium of empowerment

The federation actively encourages women participation at every level—as practitioners, trainers, judges, organizers, and decision-makers—ensuring equal opportunities and representation within the yoga ecosystem.

Over time, the Women Empowerment Yoga Federation has evolved into a dedicated institution committed to:

  • Promoting yoga education among women and girls
  • Supporting women leadership in yoga and wellness
  • Creating safe, inclusive, and empowering environments
  • Aligning yoga practice with social upliftment and self-empowerment

Today, the federation continues to work with dedication and integrity, striving to build a future where every woman recognizes her inner strength, potential, and dignity through yoga.
